Project Hail Mary is a great movie. We haven’t read the book, but understand it is even better. Gravity plays an important role and this is an interesting look at old ideas for generating artificial gravity.
There are noteworthy findings from California’s $20 minimum wage for fast food workers. Food prices increased and fast food sector jobs declined. From the post: “So the policy effectively taxes low-income consumers generally to raise wages for a subset of low-income workers, while eliminating jobs for another subset.” Not really a win.
The word on the street, literally, is that a new Paul McCartney album is coming.
